Cruise along the Honolulu coastline on your way to Oahu’s #1 turtle snorkeling location, Turtle Canyon! On this tour, you’ll have the opportunity to swim with Hawaiian green sea turtles, colorful reef fish, and more!
The tour begins with a Hawaiian Oil (ancient chant) led by your crew members. This Oil is a way to show respect to Hawaiian culture and the ocean before we begin our day of fun. Next, they will pass out gear and get you ready to hop into the ocean!
On your way to the snorkel location, admire breathtaking views of Diamond Head and the Waikiki shoreline. Your crew is happy to snap some pictures of you along the way.
Once you arrive at Turtle Canyon, the crew will assist you as you jump into the water and lead you toward turtles and other marine life! Enjoy as Turtles get their shells cleaned by the fish and cruise along the reef!
When you’re ready to head back to the boat, the crew will assist you in boarding & will collect all of your gear. The crew will pass out tea, hot cocoa, water, and snacks to anyone who would like.
On the ride back to the harbor, feel free to soak up the sun on our netted bow or lounge on the deck seating for some shade.
When you arrive at the harbor, the Captain and crew will get you safely into the slip and assist you as you exit the boat. A Hui Ho! Until we meet again!

Turtle Canyon is a hidden gem located just off the coast of Waikiki, home to a thriving population of Hawaiian green sea turtles (honu). Iruka Hawaii’s snorkel tour to Turtle Canyon takes place on a smooth-cruising catamaran with an ocean net for those who want to get splashed while taking in Diamond Head views on the way there. Enjoy free transportation, a Hawaiian chant, snacks onboard, and feel free to BYOB.

Yes, we do! You will be outfitted with a mask and fins shortly before we arrive at our snorkel destination.
If you’ve never used snorkel gear before, don’t worry. You can ask our crew any questions you have about how to breathe through a snorkel, how to keep a mask secure or how to use your fins in the water. Prescription masks are available (please contact our office in advance to confirm availability: (808) 636-8440).
You are also welcome to bring your own snorkel gear, if you prefer.
-
Please wear a swimsuit. You can put them on under your outfits before leaving to the harbor. We also recommend bringing a beach towel, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and a long sleeve jacket or sweatshirt. You might also consider motion sickness medicine (It is most effective to take the pill an hour before leaving the hotel), a water-proof case or bag for your belongings and a reusable water bottle. Please be advised that your belongings may get wet.
This tour Includes snacks, water, tea & hot chocolate. You are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks. Alcohol is allowed as long as it is not in a glass bottle.

Yes, this tour is great for all ages and skill levels. Our crew are life-guard certified experts who are great at helping first-time snorkelers and young children feel comfortable in the water.
If you or anyone in your party is interested in experiencing this tour but not interested in snorkeling, we also offer a ‘Ride Along’ ticket at a discounted price.

Our Waikiki catamaran allows for up to 30 guests on board.

Yes! Transportation is available from major hotels in Waikiki at no extra cost.

We recommend taking advantage of our free transportation, walking or Ubering where possible. Parking at Kewalo Basin Harbor is available on-site at 1125 Ala Moana Blvd, offering paid, metered spots directly next to the boats. The lot generally costs $1–$2 per hour, usually paid via a mobile app QR code or kiosk. Spaces fill quickly on weekends and holidays; allow 30 extra minutes, as parking is limited.
Check-in is 30 minutes before your tour’s scheduled departure (10:00 AM for first departure / 1:00 PM for second departure). Arrival and check-in is the Kewalo Basin Harbor at Slip F16, just minutes from Waikiki. A visual map will be sent in your confirmation email.
-

Tipping is not necessary but extremely appreciated! If you enjoyed your experience with us, we recommend tipping the crew via Venmo or cash on the boat. As a rule of thumb, a 20% tip is the average gratuity in the U.S.
We also greatly appreciate our customer’s reviews on our Google Business, Yelp, and Trip Advisor. Your experience helps to inform future travelers.
