Embark on an unforgettable 2-hour afternoon adventure along Kona’s beautiful West Coast aboard KIBOU, our custom-built speedboat designed for exploring Hawaii’s incredible coastline. This tour combines an exciting coastal cruise with a vibrant reef snorkel, making it the perfect way to experience Kona’s crystal-clear waters and abundant marine life.
As we cruise to and from our snorkel destination, keep an eye out for Hawaii’s incredible ocean wildlife. Your experienced captain is always scanning the water for spinner dolphins, pan-tropical spotted dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, Hawaiian green sea turtles, manta rays, eagle rays, octopus, and other fascinating marine life. During whale season (December through March), you may even witness the breathtaking sight of humpback whales along the Kona coast.
Once we arrive at our snorkel site, dive into Kona’s warm, crystal-clear waters to explore vibrant coral reefs teeming with tropical fish and marine life. Every tour is unique, offering a new opportunity to experience the beauty of Hawaii’s underwater world.

Whether you choose our Premium 3-Hour Morning Tour or our Value, 2-Hour Afternoon Tour, you’ll experience the best that Kona has to offer! Our speed boat cruises the coast in search of wild dolphins and humpback whales* (seasonal*). The crew will share facts about Hawaii’s marine life to enhance your experience. Then, you get to snorkel crystal clear reefs and hang out in the water. If you’re on the 3-hour tour, you’ll enjoy more time with the dolphins, plus a BBQ lunch grilled right on board! Available Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays.

Yes, we do! You will be outfitted with a mask and fins shortly before we arrive at our snorkel destination.
If you’ve never used snorkel gear before, don’t worry. You can ask our crew any questions you have about how to breathe through a snorkel, how to keep a mask secure or how to use your fins in the water. Prescription masks are available (please contact our office in advance to confirm availability: (808) 636-8440).
You are also welcome to bring your own snorkel gear, if you prefer.

Please wear a swimsuit. You can put them on under your outfits before leaving to the harbor. We also recommend bringing a beach towel, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and a long sleeve jacket or sweatshirt. You might also consider motion sickness medicine (It is most effective to take the pill an hour before leaving the hotel), a water-proof case or bag for your belongings and a reusable water bottle. Please be advised that your belongings may get wet.
This tour Includes lunch, snacks & water. You are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks. Alcohol is allowed as long as it is not in a glass bottle.

Absolutely, yes! Our crew are life-guard certified experts who are great at helping first-time snorkelers and young children feel comfortable in the water. If you don’t want to hop in, you can also purchase a discounted Ride-Along ticket.

Check-in is 30 minutes before your tour’s scheduled departure. Arrival and check-in is at Honokohau Harbor, 5 minutes north of Kailua-Kona. You will be sent driving directions to our Google location and photos of our check-in location at slip 17 within your confirmation email. Free parking is available.

Our speedboat most often sees spotted dolphins or bottlenose dolphins. We sometimes see more rare species of dolphins. We also often see sea turtles, coral and tropical fish. Please note that because our tour operates in nature with wild animals, marine life sightings are not guaranteed.

The Marine Mammal Protection Act regulations prohibit feeding, attempting to feed, and harassing marine mammals in the wild. Touching and/or feeding wild marine life in Hawaii is against the law.

We offer two options for this tour: a 3-Hour Premium Tour with lunch or a 2-Hour Afternoon Value tour for those short on time.

For the health and comfort of all our guests, Smoking is strictly prohibited on our tours. Please refrain from smoking during the duration of the tour. Vaping is permitted. Please be respectful of other guests on board.

For a full refund, call (808) 636-8440 up to 48 hours before the tour. In case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, customers will also receive a full refund. No-shows will be charged the full price. With a doctor’s note, you will be able to receive a full refund after the designated cancellation period if the doctor’s note applies only to the person who holds the note. If the person with a doctor’s note is a minor, we will honor one adult as guardian for full refund.

Tipping is not necessary but extremely appreciated! If you enjoyed your experience with us, we recommend tipping the crew via Venmo or cash on the boat. As a rule of thumb, a 20% tip is the average gratuity in the U.S.
