Manta Ray Night Snorkel Tour Overview

Our boat, KIBOUBoard our boat, KIBOU, and let us take you along the magnificent western shores of the Big Island of Hawaii to embark on an unforgettable aquatic journey to snorkel with giant oceanic manta rays!

Our local guide and crew will lead to enjoy breathtaking views of the most stunning sunsets as we cruise towards the best manta ray snorkeling site, commonly referred to as “Manta Ray Heaven.” Along the way, we will keep an eye out for dolphins and other wildlife that frequent the area, and whales in season from December to March. On a clear night, you can experience the magic of Hawaiian moonlight in our nighttime tour as we snorkel with manta rays under the stars!

The crew will assist you as you jump into the water and hang on to our large, exclusive viewing float equipped with a light to attract manta rays. The secret to the magic is that plankton are attracted to light and manta rays eat plankton!

You’ll have the chance to get up close and personal with these wild yet gentle and captivating manta rays in the water.     In case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, customers will also receive a full refund.

MANTA RAY SNORKEL IN KONA NOTE

  • Manta rays are wild animals, so the sighting is not guaranteed.
    In case of no manta rays, we will put you on a next available tour as a rain check for free of charge.

DIRECTIONS

1) Follow Hwy 19 Queen Kaahumanu Hwy to Honokohau Marina Turn off. You will see a sign that says “HONOKOHAU MARINA.”

2) Turn down Keakakehe Pkwy and take your first right turn -about 0.4 miles

3) Drive along with the path all the way down to the harbor till you pass two yellow poles(*see photo below). There will be your check in point! Our crew will welcome you. Have fun!
